Hi All,
I finally bought a universal tripod ( can be used to support both digital camera and camcorder). I’ve shot some random videos with slight movements on my digital camera and surprisingly it is able to capture all the moves with out blurring the image. So we have good enough equipment to shoot documentaries now.
My first project will be titled ‘ What is your favorite movie’. I’ll interview DFM members about their favorite film. It is very simple. You just have to say some thing about your favorite film in at minimum one sentence. I’ll be very much happy to take this interview any evening or weekend. Just let me know your available time and preferable place ( I can travel to any place which is within 15 min.s on either Bus or Dart from Pearse station). If you like to do it in a public place Merrion park is a nice place. There are so many spots I’ve found that are peaceful for film making in Merrion square. People are not any more into parks. So we film makers should use most of them. There is another option, my home in the least case ( I hope I can find some tidy place). The shoot will be 15 min.s per person. If anybody want to give their interview in a language other than english ( will be subtitled), that would be more interesting to bring universal appeal to the documentory. I’ll arrange a meet-up soon depending on the members preferances.

I wouldn’t ask any particular questions. You just have to say your favorite movie and why. I’ll edit them in a way that all the similar opinions will come together. You can say as much as you want to. Any thing you think interesting. You may like the movie for its genre , variety, making style etc.. Just say any thing that comes into your mind. If possible come along with a little preparation and I’ll do a trail shoot before for your convinience.
