Hi All,
The minutes are quite easy this time since nothing happened there. I guess it is the time to plan every thing properly. I felt it is all because of the lack of experience. Never mind, we will bounce back soon. I’ve seen the movie EdWood yesterday and got so much confidence. He is the GURU for me know .. You can’t disappoint me guys X-(
Now I’ve decided to plan some thing. No more discussions about film making techniques. We will learn from our experiences. If you still want to learn google for it and you are always welcome to discuss with me. So its time for some action. If I understand correctly we have been showing our interest in two areas, one is script less Documentaries (or Mocumentaries) and the other one is scripted short stories. So I’ll just list out simple pros and cons for these two.
Documentaries:
1. Though there is no script for Documentaries, we still need to start with some flexible plan. Otherwise it will like a mayhem and no one would understand what the documentary is for at the end.
2. People to interview. This is the most important part. You have to contact at least 3 people in advance according to your plan.
3. Equipment is not difficult. A digital camera with a tripod will do. Since there is no need for camera movements there is no need for any crew members as well. So yourself and one helper (I’m always happy to do so or we can find a member from our group for this).

So just decide yourself what you want to document and contact the people and let me know then the time and place. I’ll arrange the digital camera and a helper ( may be myself)

Shorts:

1. Script Script Script, with out this we can’t start. To write your script plan as follows.

a) first choose the proper story. Write the synopsis.

b)Divide it into parts

c)Start wrting each part , Don’t put any restrictions on the number of scenes for each part. Just follow the flow and you can edit them at the end.

If you need any help regarding the script writing software, just brows this blog and you will find some info. Also you can always ask me, any you may send your updates to me if you like.

2.Pre-production. Once you are ready with script, there are others things to plan. Planning is the most important thing since it involves other crew members and actors. The following thigs need to be considered in this stage

a) Filming Locations

b) Casting and Actors call sheets.

c)Equipment renting.

d)Crew.

3.Post-Production.Editing is the major part in this section. I can help you in this. So forget about it in the first case.

Since none of us professional we should be very organized here to choose the time and place according to the availability of so many things. But script is main thing we should have in hand before all. REMEMBER!!!!!

Let me know if you are ready with the script so that we can work-out to find the things mentioned in the second point.

Well I home every thing we have been discussing is summarized here. Now the real stuff has to come.
